Fencing & Block Walls for HOAs & Commercial Properties
The perimeter wall is the first thing a prospective buyer sees and the first thing a board hears about when it leans, cracks, or loses a section to a careless driver. Greenhouse repairs and builds block walls and fencing for communities and commercial sites across Orange County and Los Angeles County.
Walls fail slowly, then suddenly
A block wall rarely announces its problems. Efflorescence stains the face for a few seasons, a hairline crack follows a footing settling into wet clay, a slope pushes a little harder every winter — and then one section is visibly out of plumb and the board is fielding photos from homeowners. By the time a wall leans, the cause has usually been at work for years: water where it shouldn't be, roots under the footing, or a slope that drains against the wall instead of away from it.
That cause-first view is what a landscape contractor brings to wall work. Because we already handle drainage installation and slope maintenance for associations, we look at why the wall moved before quoting how to fix it — otherwise the new section fails the same way the old one did, on a different board's watch.
What we repair and build
Block and masonry walls
Section rebuilds after vehicle strikes and wind events, leaning-wall repair, cap and pilaster replacement, crack repair, and full perimeter runs. New walls get properly sized footings, steel, and grout — and where a wall retains soil, it gets drainage behind it, because a retaining wall without weep relief is a future claim with a masonry veneer.
Fencing
Tubular steel and iron-style fencing for view lots and pool enclosures, wood fence replacement, and vinyl where community standards call for it. Coastal associations get honest guidance on corrosion — the cheapest iron fence is the one you repaint forever.
The equipment question, answered up front
Boards that vet contractors carefully ask what we own, and it's a fair question — rented equipment means schedule slips. Greenhouse crews run our own compaction equipment, concrete and masonry tools, and demolition gear, so a wall repair isn't waiting on a rental counter. It's the same reason our concrete and paver work holds a schedule: the tools are on the truck.
Built for how associations buy
Wall and fence work in an HOA is a governed decision. We write scopes a board can vote on — per-section pricing, phasing options that fit reserve budgets, and photo documentation before and after. Vehicle-strike repairs come with the paperwork an insurance claim needs. And because perimeter repairs are visible to every homeowner, we keep managers updated so the board is never explaining a half-finished wall it didn't know about. Many boards fold perimeter checks into their routine HOA maintenance program so small failures get caught on scheduled visits — it's the same accountability that runs our HOA landscape maintenance contracts, and walls are just the slowest-moving part of the landscape. On secured commercial sites the perimeter is the product rather than the boundary — at a self-storage facility the fence line, the gate approach, and the planting near both are maintained to keep camera views and sight lines open, not to look finished.

Can you match our community’s existing block wall?
Usually, yes. Most Orange County and LA County communities were built with common block profiles — precision block, slump stone, split-face — in a limited color range, and caps and pilaster details can be matched or reproduced. Where an exact match no longer exists, we show the board the closest options before any block gets ordered, so the repaired section is a decision rather than a surprise.
A car hit our perimeter wall. What happens first?
Call us and we secure the opening — temporary fencing the same visit where safety requires it. Then we document the damage with photos and a written scope your manager can hand to the insurance adjuster, since vehicle-strike wall repairs are usually an insurance claim, not a dues expense. Repair follows as soon as the claim allows.
Do you handle full wall replacement or just repairs?
Both. Spot repairs — a leaning section, spalled caps, cracked pilasters — are the common call, but we also bid full perimeter runs, typically phased across fiscal years so the reserve budget absorbs the work. A phased plan with per-section pricing is something a board can actually vote on.
What kinds of fencing do you install besides block?
Tubular steel and wrought-iron style fencing for view slopes and pool areas, wood fencing where communities still use it, and vinyl where the CC&Rs call for it. Near the coast we’re direct about material choices — unprotected iron rusts fast in salt air, and we’d rather steer a board to powder-coated steel than sell a repaint schedule.
Why hire a landscape contractor for walls and fencing?
Because the wall never stands alone. The planting against it, the irrigation spraying it, the slope pushing on it, and the drainage undermining its footing are usually why it failed — and those are systems we already maintain. One contractor owning the wall and the landscape around it means the repair addresses the cause, not just the crack.
