Greenhouse Landscaping & Maintenance hires landscape maintenance crews for HOA communities and commercial properties across Orange County and Los Angeles County. Steady routes, real equipment, and a paycheck that shows up on the same day every time.
You'd be a W-2 employee here, not a 1099 contractor
Most of this industry runs on day labor and 1099s. We don't staff our maintenance crews that way. The crew members we hire are employed by Greenhouse Landscaping & Maintenance Inc. — on the payroll, covered by our insurance, working under CSLB license #1136097. That's the same promise we make to every HOA board that hires us, and it only works if it's true on both ends.
It also means the person who does good work in March is the person still on that property in October. We sell consistency to property managers, so we can't churn through crews to get it.
What we look for
Skills can be taught in a season. These can't:
- You show up. That's the whole company's pitch. A crew that's short a person on Tuesday makes a property manager's Wednesday worse.
- You finish the edge. Common-area work gets walked by hundreds of residents. The difference between fine and good is the last ten minutes on a property.
- You say something when you see something. A wet spot on a slope in July is a broken lateral, and the crew that reports it saves the association thousands. We'd rather hear ten false alarms than miss one.
- You're steady around residents. You'll be working where people live and work. Being easy to be around on a property is part of the job.
A valid driver's license helps and is required for crew lead. Irrigation experience is the fastest way to move up. Reliable transportation to a Santa Ana morning start matters more than a résumé.

Landscape crew member

Mowing, edging, blowing, hedge and shrub work, and cleanup on HOA common areas and commercial properties. You'll run the same route each week, so you learn a property instead of guessing at it. No experience with commercial accounts required — experience caring about the work is.
Irrigation technician

Valve and head repair, controller programming, wire tracing, leak isolation, and slope systems that fail in ways flat systems never do. If you can find a break without digging up half a hillside, this is the highest-paid seat on the crew.
Crew lead

Run a truck and a two- to four-person crew: route order, quality check before you leave a property, and flagging what a board or property manager needs to know. Requires a valid driver's license and comfort speaking with an on-site manager.
